Poonch, Sept 26: Construction of Mini Secretariat has not been completed as yet though a five years of time has passed while the work has stopped after plinth work of the building for reasons best known to people at helms source said here today
Source said , in 2013 proposal of constructing Mini Secretariat for longer interests of People was formulated and the land was identified in a village namely Khilira in Rajouri at a cost of Rs 1.07 crore. The work was also allotted the contractor and an amount of Rs 65 lakh was also released the construction work started. The plinth area of building was completed and a few pillars were raised over it. After that now 5 years have gone no further work took place since then.
Social activists of Rajouri Shafqat Ramzan Wani while talking to Early Times said as soon as the work of the Mini Secretariat started in Rajouri. People heaved a of relief as their dream was about to come true but their dream was shattered with a big bang when suddenly the work of the secretariat stopped for reasons best known to people at the helm.
A fervent appeal has been made to Governor SP Malik and DDC Rajouri Ajaz Asad to take up the construction work of the Mini Secretariat which was supposed to come up at Rajouri but went unfortunately could not see light of the day so far. |
