Jammu, Sept 26: A Village Level Worker having fake degrees is holding post of the Block Development Officer (BDO) and an additional charge of another block for the past four years.
According to sources the VLW from Directorate of Rural Development Department, Jammu is holding posts of two BDOs despite being ineligible for that post, and ironically, a young KAS officer, who is also BDO has been displaced from her original place of posting.
They said the blue-eyed boy enjoys the patronage of the additional secretary, who has gone out of way to favour him
"In partial modification of Government Order No. 219-RD&PR of 2018 dated 28.0-82.018, Snober Jameel, Block Development Officer, Mathwar (new) holding the charge of Block Maim Mandrian. Jammu in addition to her own duties is posted as Block Development Officer, Main Mandrian, Jammu and Shalini Raina, presently awaiting orders of adjustment is posted as Block Development Officer. Mathwar (New), Jammu with immediate effect, is this government order recently issued, but now the question arisen, why the person who is not eligible for the post is holding two positions", questioned the officer.
He further said that BDO Marh, Ranjit Singh holding charge of another block, within the jurisdiction of Jammu district, also winter capital of state, sitting on same for last four years, it also shows lawlessness in the department of RD&PR. "It also reflects helplessness of government to sideline these people", they added.
"We expect stern actions, since the state is under Governor's rule, our Governor, S P Malik did not leave any stone unturned to streamline derailed state, we the officers request the Governor to immediately sideline the blacksheep," they said.
"It has been learnt, that the officer is misleading worthy secretary, who being a lady is keen to serve the masses", the officers said and added that it is not an isolated case the officer in the past has also misled the Secretary for his personal gains.
