International conference on recent advance in pain management organised

Jammu, Sept 29: The first International Conference on Recent Advance in Pain Management is being held in city of Temples Jammu and 300 faculty and delegates have participated in the conference and discussed various aspects related to pain.
Moreover, the conference was organised by CAPSI pain India in collaboration with PG department of Anatomy GMC Jammu.
The global pain conference was attended by 300 faculty and delegates from seven countries including UAE, USA, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia and others. The conference was spread on two days with more than 40 sessions at different aspects of pain management both conventional and interventional techniques were discussed during the two days workshop.
The speakers, who spoke included the Head of the Department of Pain and Palliative Medicine from AIIMS New Delhi, TATA Memorial Cancer Institute, Rajiv Gandhi Institute, PGI Chandigarh, JIPMER Pondicherry, CHC Vellore, and others. The conscious was made on the availability of chronic pain and Cancer Pain Management for the General public so that these modalities should be reach common mass and sufferers.
The cadaveric workshop will be held on September 30 at Department of Anatomy of GMC Jammu.
On September 28, 2018, an award ceremony was held, and the awards were distributed among the pain specialists from different countries for their various contribution. The conference was inaugurated by Director NHM, DHS Jammu Bhupinder Kumar and he was also chief guest on the occasion.
Dr Sunanda Raina Principal of GMC Jammu was the guest of honour. Other delegates present were Dr Chander Prakash Dy Director DHS Jammu, Dr Sanjay Turki CMO Jammu.
The organising team of the conference included Dr Gautam Dass , Patron of the conference, Dr Pankaj Surange, chairman of the conference, Dr Gurmeet Singh Vice Chairman of the conference, Dr Sunanda Raina Chairman of the cadaveric workshop and Dr Rohit Lohari Organising Secy.
Dr Rohit Lohari Pain specialist posted as in-charge Pain Clinic Govt Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu and also organising secy. Of the ICRA Pain 2018 was awarded with International Pain Ambassador of the year 2018-19 for his contribution and mass awareness regarding the Chronic and Cancer pain Management.
