UDHAMPUR, Sept 29: The members of NGO 'Jiyo aur Jeene do' observed Surgical Strike Day in respect of our soldiers, who sacrificed their lives for the motherland.
The President of NGO Tariq Shah along with members, volunteers and family members of many soldiers and martyrs gathered at Park, Venus Chowk, Sailan Talab and paid tribute to soldiers by planting saplings in the name of martyrs.
Daughter of Shaheed Tilak Raj, Tannu Mehra and nephew of Veer Chakra awardee, Shaheed Krishan Singh Jamwal, Retd SSP Mahadeep Singh Jamwal also took part in plantation. While speaking there, President Tariq Shah said, "Today our NGO salutes the brave, historical and timely action performed by our brave soldiers in Surgical Strike two years back by planting saplings in the name of soldiers."
Speaking on the occasion, Mahadeep Jamwal said, "We salute our Indian Army who has always fought with dignity and has always been a matter of proud for all Indians." Along with members Ritu, Krishna, Sahil, Purnima, Rohini, Nitu Devi, Sanjay, Shotu, Neelam and many others were present. |
