India-China hold bilateral talks for resolving borders issues
11/27/2018 10:58:24 PM
If on one hand New Delhi has shut the doors for dialogue process with Pakistan on the other hand the doors of talks have kept wide open for resolving various border issues with China. In this connection, India has given importance to talks for the resolution of various border issues because once India-China mend fences there is no room for worry on the side of Pakistan. Once New Delhi and Beijing promote friendship Pakistan may be forced to mend fences with India. And to begin with a new li ne of mediation the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held the 21st round of border talks in China's southwestern Sichuan province recently. Besides the border dispute, the two senior officials at the picturesque Dujiangyan city, would also review the progress made in bilateral ties since the Wuhan Summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Xi Jinping in April, officials said.
Doval and Wang are the designated special representatives for border talks between India and China. The talks were expected to be concluded later on. This is the first round of talks for Wang after he succeeded State Councillor Yang Jiechi earlier this year. Wang has become the state councillor, a rank higher than the foreign minister in the Chinese government's hierarchy. Announcing the talks on November 21, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang presented an upbeat picture of the bilateral ties saying, "We have properly managed the differences through dialogue and consultation. The border areas on the whole maintained stability
In 1959 the relations between India and China have become strained because of the border dispute that too when China has been claiming the right on Arunachal Pradesh. Parts of Ladakh border are being figures as Chinese territory when there is no iota of truth. And the bilateral talks would continue till the two sides settle the border issues that have bedevilled the relations between China and India. Well there is no danger of infiltration from China and as such India has not preimposed so [jis1] me conditions for initiating the process of dialogue. Vermsince Pakistan has been trying to push groups of boys into Kashmir India has been telling Pakistan to stop this ingress of terrorists if Islamanabad wants to hold talks with India to discuss various issues including the vexed Kashmir issue. India has conveyed to Pakistan that terror and talks cannot coexist. But there is no danger from China even if its troops entered into Doklam and had a breezy incursion in Ladakh.
