MANDI, Nov 27: There is open violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by the government employees who are seen campaigning for certain candidates in the ongoing Panchayati elections here.
Pertinent to mention that a government employee of Chella dhangri was booked for violation of MCC as he was caught openly campaigning for a candidate, but reports divulge that many government employees were presently busy in this illegal activity.
The other contesting candidates against whom these government employees are campaigning have expressed concern over this.
A candidate contesting for the post of Sarpanch Saima Meer told that this will enable even a wrong person to win the elections as illegal means of engaging the government employees is involved,
She has appealed to the Deputy Commissioner Poonch to act strictly against the erring employees so that fair Panchayati elections are ensured. |
