NCC Cadets visit Heritage Complex Rani Mahal

JAMMU, Nov 27: The NCC Cadets of 2 J&K Boys Bn. Jammu and NSS volunteers of Govt. MAM College Jammu along with Dr. Karan Singh (Associate NCC Officer) and Dr. Sangeeta Sudan (NSS Coordinator) visited Heritage complex "Rani Mahal of Mubarak Mandi" with the objective of Swachhta hi Sewa as well as "Preservation of Natural Heritage (Flora and Fauna) of the State". The other dignitaries who also participated in this unique one day workshop to save our heritage were Narinder Singh (Ex- Mayor), Prabodh Jamwal (Editor, Kashmir times and Ex- NCC Cadet of Govt. MAM College Jammu), Subash Chander (Assistant Director Assembly), Navin Jain (Chairman and spokes person of Muzaffar Hussain Beig), Vishal Sharma (I.T Incharge Assembly) and other prominent citizens of the locality who educated the students and made them aware of the rarity and precious nature as well as importance of the various trees and plants growing in the park of the heritage complex and emphasized upon their care, maintenance and preservation so that they may be saved for future reference of our progeny of which they should be proud of. The NCC Cadets and NSS volunteers lodged a massive cleanliness drive in the entire area and also requested the State Govt. to take requisite steps to preserve the natural heritage which is essential for maintaining the beauty of the state. Commanding Officer of 2 J&K Boys Bn. NCC Jammu Colonel Sukhbir Assla lauded the efforts of the NCC Cadets and NSS volunteers for taking the initiative and thereby setting the ball rolling in the society.
