12/19/2018 9:54:03 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 19: To lodge protest against failure of the state government to address issues related to youth of the state, the activists of the Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) this afternoon staged a massive protest in front of the Raj Bhawan and submitted a memorandum to Governor Satya Pal Malik to highlight misdeeds of the previous PDP-BJP regime.
Activists of Youth Congress said that instead of solving issues related to unemployed educated youth previous PDP-BJP regime had shamelessly legalized corruption and nepotism.
The protest was led by ex-PYC president and member All India Congress Committee, Pranav Shagotra along with Pankaj Basotra, Sahil Sharma, Chetan Wanchoo, Balbir Singh, Rashid Malik, Birender Pratap Singh, Ricky Dalotra, Anoop Gupta,Vishu Sharma, Hoshiar Singh, Sarveshwar Bali, Naresh Dutt, Gurpreet Singh, Rakshit Sharma, Mohd Rafi, Vijay Tagotra, Prikshit Shagotra, Anil Kumar and Nidesh Chalotra.
"It is now an open secret that credibility of J&K Public Service Commission has reached to such a stage where needles of suspicion always indicate that its inner system has rotten to such an extent that the institute has lost its sacrosanct image. The whole purpose of its creation has been lost due to erosion of its image in the eyes of public caused by corruption, favoritism and nepotism ruling randomly. An in depth inquiry is required immediately in the selection process being followed by the PSC so that black sheep are identified, and punished while its lost credibility is restored again", memorandum submitted by PYC said.
The PYC activists regretted that the administration under the Governor is also indulged into setting wrong precedence by making political appointments. They mentioned towards appointment of KVIB in which BJP leaders and their family members were made directors and chairperson.
