Two solar power plants inaugurated in Jammu

Jammu, Dec 19: Two vital solar power plants aimed to utilize the free solar energy and to reduce the burden on other means were inaugurated at two separate locations in Jammu.
A 140 KW rooftop solar power generation setup was inaugurated in the campus of Border Roads Organization, Project Sampark, at Kunjwani Jammu.
This 140 KW roof top solar power generation adds new feather in the world of BRO which has contributed in setting up vital roads and bridges infrastructure in the area.
Highlighting on technical issues in the inaugural ceremony of this setup, Brig YK Ahuja, Chief Engineer BRO motivated all present during commissioning, that this is only a first step towards 'Go Green" and all of us must contribute by spreading the advantages of such ventures by incorporating such technologies in domestic life like solar geysers and called for creating awareness for utilizing subsidy available for solars by the government.
Chief Engineer added that the project comprises of 140 KW Grid Tied Solar Power Generation costing Rs. 74,20,000 Out of which 60% project cost was subsidised through MNRE and balance was beared by HQ CE (P) Sampark.
The Project was executed by M/s Jeanie Power Solution Pvt Ltd., an empanelled Installer of JAKEDA (J&K Energy Development Agency), the state nodal agency for installing any solar power project through MNRE.
Dr. P R Dhar, CEO JAKEDA who was present during the commissioning who complimented chief engineer and entire Sampark team for their wholehearted efforts in converting this Green Project 'A Grand Success'.
Richa Varshney, CEO, Jeanie Power Solution Pvt Ltd, was also been appreciated by Entire team of Sampark and JAKEDA for finishing the Project well before time and executing good quality work which is checked and approved by JAKEDA.
Similarly, Sheikh Fayas Ahmed, Secretary, Science and Technology Department, J&K Government, inaugurated 50 KWatt Solar Rooftop Power Plant at SRML Higher Secondary School Jammu.
Highlighting on technical Issues, Dr. PR Dhar, CEO JAKEDA briefed about the benefits and technical specifications of the project and also stated that the project comprises of 50 KWatt Grid Tied Solar Power Generation, Costing Rs. 27,50,000 out of which 60% project cost was subsidised through MNRE and balance was beared by state.
The Project was executed by M/s Jeanie Power Solution Pvt Ltd., an empanelled Installer of JAKEDA (J & K Energy Development Agency), the state Nodal Agency for installing any Solar Power Project through MNRE.
