POONCH, Dec 19: Stadium XI clinched the Junior boys District Hockey title after they trounced the junior side of the Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) 3-1 via tie-breaker at Sports Stadium, here today.
Earlier, in the stipulated time the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Noib scored for Stadium XI in the seventh minute while Jagmeet brought in the equaliser in the 21st minute.
Meanwhile, in the senior men's category, City Club trounced Young Star 2-0. Noib and Faizan were the scorers who netted the ball in the second and 39th minute of the game.
In today's Junior boys' final, Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO), Narjeet Singh and Principal of Modern Public School Poonch, Trupati Talwal were chief guest, who interacted with the teams.
Among others present were Nirdosh Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar,Tanveer Dar, Pawan Kumar, Matinderpal Singh, Sourab Sharma, Ramprakash and Rajinder Singh.
Today's final and other scheduled match officiated by the technical penal including Ranveet singh, Vikas Raina, Shobit Tandon, Sunil Raina and Rohit Sharma.
