JAMMU, Dec 19: Young Sports and Shaheen Blue won their respective matches in the ongoing Senior Divisional Football League of Jammu, organised by the District Football Association (DFA), at GGM Science College ground, here today.
In the first scheduled match, Young Sports defeated Christian Star 2-1. Vinay (33rd) netted the first goal of the match from Christian Star, but the side could not take advantage of the early lead and conceded two back to back goals in the second half of the play.
Both the goals netted by Balbir Singh, who struck in the 46th and 54th minute of the match.
Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Shaheen Blue trounced Churchill Brothers by identical margin of 2-1. Again the first goal came from the losing side of Churchill Brothers in the eighth minute through Ruman. From Shaheen Blue, Manoj Kumar (36th) and Sarmath (44th) were the scorers.
Today's matches officiated by the technical penal including Dil Bahadur, Rocky Sharma, Koushal, Amit Verma, Suresh Kumar, Ricky Kumar, Dheeraj Meenia and Honey Mehra.
FIXTURE: Engineers XI meets NGR FC at 1.30 pm while Param FC shall take on Young Hero at 3 pm tomorrow. |
