| Cop leaks information to anti-social elements in lieu of money | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 21: A Head Constable who has been posted in a police station in Samba district has been accused of leaking vital information of the police station to anti-social elements of the area, and making fortunes through illegal means.
According to sources, the Head Constable is working as Karyakhass of the Station House Officer (SHO) of the police station and remained in civvies and most of the time leaked the information of any raid or police action against anti-social elements.
"The head Constable on various occasions leaked the information of police station to anti social elements in order to save them in lieu of money", said sources adding that he has vast network in the area. The cop in question has been posted in the same police station for last over three years and has established his connections with anti-social elements and facilitating them in lieu of money.
"Owing to his long stay in the single police station, the cop has established his contacts with anti social elements of the area", said sources .
Sources further maintained that the cop is so clever that he conveniently misled Station House Officer (SHO) and other seniors officers. "The Station House Officer (SHO) with whom the said Head Constable is working as Karyakhass is unaware of the activities of the cop", said sources adding that even police chief of the District is also unaware of the acts of the cop. |
