'Ullu Banawing' allegations deepen cracks in PDP
12/21/2018 10:27:54 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 21: Even as a senior leader from Peoples Democratic is likely to float a separate party in the coming days, sources said he has told the PDP "high command" that the main reason for his decision to leave the party was that he had been a victim of "Ullu Banawing" politics.
Sources said the PDP leader who was also a minister in the previous government has told the party leadership that he was made of fool over an assurance of being made the Chief Minister if the alliance with the National Conference and the Congress had clicked last month.
Sources said the PDP leader in question has learnt from reliable quarters that the party leadership had allegedly played a "drama" of formation of government in league with the NC and Congress only to get the Assembly dissolved.
Sources said the PDP leader was initially very excited by the decision of the party leadership that he would be made the CM. "But he (CM aspirant) was shocked to learn that it was only a drama to get the Assembly dissolved. So he genuinely feels that his heart and dreams have been torn apart by the plot scripted by the party leadership," said a PDP leader on the condition of anonymity.
Sources said the once aspiring CM has told PDP President Mehbooba Mufti that he was not expecting such a cruel joke from her side. "We need to understand that not only this leader in question but even his close friends had been sure of his becoming the chief minister and had even decided venues to hold celebrations but ultimately it was a joke," said a source close to the PDP leader.
Sources said at the recently held party meeting when the PDP leader had raised questions over the alleged plot to get Assembly dissolved, some of the party leaders had teased him. "He was told Kyun Jinab, Dil Ke Armaan Aansuwon, Mei Beh Gawai?" said a source privy to the meeting.
This alleged teasing is understood to have pained the leader who decided to float his own party.
Sources said the among the first to swear alliance in him were his businessmen friends including a hotelier who has assured to make due contributions towards the dream party.
Despite repeated attempts the said leader couldn't be contacted for comments.
