GMHSS celebrates annual day function

Udhampur, Dec 26: Government Model Higher Sec. School (boys), a premier institution of the district celebrated annual day function. Program starred with beautiful presentation of bouquet to the Chief Guest DDC Udhainpur Ravindr Kumar (IAS) and various dignitaries of the function followed by length lightening to mark the beginning of the function.
Annual report presented by the Principal of the institution Ajay Vashisl as school was established in 1905 (Pre-lndepenedce) then raised to the levels of secondary and higher secondary on the year 1928 and 1974 respectively. The school has had various distinctions in the field of academics, and co-curricular activities. Moreover, principal appreciated the appreciable role of teacher in raising the standards of education and inculcation the moral values and ethics among the students. Students presented various cultural activities representing social issues like ODF, Environment Protect-ion, drug abuse and good health.
They also presented patriotic song to infuse sense of nationalism among the masses. Motiva-tional speech presented by SSP training S. K. PA Udhampur on drug and crime free nation moreover former MLA Udhampur Pawan Kumar Gupta also stressed upon drug and crime free environment as well as appreciated the role of teachers in building the nation. President MCU Dr. Yogeshwer Kumar Gupta and Vice President S. Surinder Singh Khalsa were also present.
