| DB posts Machail Mata Board matter for Monday | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 26: Division Bench comprising of Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Tashi Rabstan after hearing Advocate Aditya Sharma for the Petitioner had kept matter for Monday so that Machail Mata Board controversy can be put to rest by referring the matter for mediation.
Adv. Aditya Sharma submitted that Sarv Shakti Sansthan Bahderwah had only filed application with respect to properties situated in Jammu where as a matter of fact the main shrine is at Bhaderwah and donation is worth in crores of rupees and if the same is regulated through independent body or a committiee comprising of Retd High court Judge or IAS officers, then faith of the devotees can be restored till constitution of shrine board.
Adv.U.K Jalali marked his appearance on behalf of Santhan situated at Jammu and also favoured the constitution of Board. Thakur Kulbir Singh had been impleaded as Party respondent in the Petition and a days time had been granted to him so that he can present his opinion also in this regard.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the dispute had arisen between both sansthans this year when FIR was registered in cement scam against the sansthan of Bhaderwah followed by a fight between the groups at Machail Mata shrine that too when devotees were offering their religious prayer which led to the filing of public interest litigation filed by a practicing advocate in the interest of public and devotees. |
