Early Times Report

RAJOURI, Jan 5: Members of Anti-Drugs Committee Rajouri has whole heartedly welcomed the State Administrative Council's sanction to the first ever drug de-addiction policy in the state.
The members said they have been struggling for such policy since a long time and the Governor's initiative in this matter is a right decision at right time to save the young generation from falling prey to those involved in drug trade and trafficking.
"Since a long time our team was working against drug addiction drug sale in the district and was demanding a stringent policy against drugs. Governor's administration decision and Court directions are welcome steps. Now it is the duty of the society to join crusade to fight against drugs," said Shafqat Mir, a young social and political leader.
He said that the parents must keep a watch on the activities of their children whether they have been attending schools / tuition classes regularly or missing for long period.
"It is not the duty of the police or the local administration to keep watch on every youth. Parents are responsible for their children and they must keep strict watch on their activities while they were out of homes," said Mir.
Tazim Dar while welcoming the drug-addiction policy said the government has taken a historic step and now it's our turn how we take benefit of this drug de-addiction policy.
