'In Mehbooba's tenure Pak stooges were treated like VIPs even in jails'

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 5: Former Chief Minister and the Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti returning to families of militants has made it clear that her only agenda is to support Pak stooges and the separatists to keep Kashmir conflict alive.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Mehbooba Mufti visiting the families of militants is nothing new. She has been doing it since she started her political career. She has always patronized the separatists and militants. So there is nothing to get annoyed."
He said that even when she was ruling Jammu and Kashmir she gave a freehand to separatists and the Pakistan stooges to carry on with their activities. "When PDP-BJP coalition was ruling the state separatists were treated like VIPs even inside the jails. Her leanings towards the separatists are known to all," the analyst added.
A politician said that after losing power Mehbooba is showing her true colours. "It should serve as an eye opener for BJP. The saffron party compromised with its ideology and entered into an alliance with such a party which was inclined towards the anti-national elements," he added.
"When BJP entered into an alliance with the PDP in Jammu and Kashmir nationalist people opposed this unholy marriage. BJP leaders were told in clear terms that they should not make such a big compromise as it would dent their image. But they did not listen to anyone and went ahead as they wanted to enjoy power. Today BJP stands at cross roads as it has lost support in its bastions," he added.
The politician said that during Mehbooba's tenure supporters of separatists were provided government jobs and contracts. The PDP MLAs even got the militant sympathizers accommodated in Jammu and Kashmir Police. "The SPO posted with the former MLA Wachi and the PDP leader Ajaz Ahmed Mir, who decamped with the seven riffles and a pistol from the official residence of Mir in Srinagar last year, had been appointed in the Police force on Mir's recommendation," he added.
An observer said that when Mehbooba was in power she left no stone unturned to strangulate the nationalist voices in Jammu region and acted tough against the people who highlighted the discrimination being faced by Jammu. "Mehbooba acted like as if she was the Chief Minister of Kashmir only and had got nothing to do with Jammu. Her biased approach reflected that she ruled the state with Kashmir centric agenda. Her only aim was to appease the separatists and the Pakistan stooges. After losing power she has returned to the people whom she nurtured and groomed during her tenure," he said.
