JAMMU, Jan 7: In a petition filed by petitioners claim that they are Degree Holder Junior Engineers (Electrical), and the Junior Engineer Grade-II (Electri-cal), possessing Degree with five years' continuous service are eligible to be promoted to the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) Grade-I.; but though petitioners have completed the requisite service of five years in the year 2004, they are not being promoted to the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) Grade-I.
Justice Sanjeev Kumar of J&K High Court after hearing both the sides disposed of the petition with the direction to Commissioner / Secretary, Power Develop-ment Department, J&K to consider the cases of the petitioners for their placement/promotion as Junior Engineer (Electrical) Grade-I with effect from the dates, the posts of Junior Engineer (Electrical) Grade-I were available with the department, subject to the condition that the petitioners were having requisite eligibility for the promotion on such date(s). |
