Sajad again shows BJP its place, says alliance between BJP and PDP is still intact
Big jolt for Ram Madhav

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Jan 7: People's Conference (PC) chief and former ally of the BJP, Sajad Lone has again shown the BJP its place by saying that he would not enter into pre-poll alliance with the BJP and claimed that the alliance between the PDP and the BJP was still intact. He demanded resignation of PDP MLCs and MPs, saying they were elected with the support of the BJP.
Ruling out the possibility of any alliance with the BJP, the Kashmir-based PC chairman Sajad Lone Sunday asked PDP chief and former J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti to "recall its members of parliament and members of legislative council, who had secured entry into two houses with the support of the BJP". He made this statement, coupled with a demand, while admitting to the PC another former PDP MLA Muhammad Abbas Wani.
"We have nothing to do with BJP. There was a system and it ended. But there is still something in between BJP and PDP, which is alive. That is MLCs and Rajya Sabha members. The PDP MLCs were elected on the vote of BJP. The first hint of honesty from PDP should be that its MLCs and Rajya Sabha members should resign," Lone was quoted as saying.
Sajad Lone was considered a very close friend of BJP national general secretary and in-charge J&K, Ram Madhav. He was also very close to RSS. Sajad had taken part in a number of events organized by the RSS and Ram Madhav used to flirt with him. If reports are to be believed, then it can be said that "it was Ram Madhav who ensured BJP-PC pre-poll alliance" and "it was also due to his intervention that Sajad Lone was made a Cabinet Minister in the Mufti Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti governments out of the BJP quota".
Sajad Lone's statement that "he has nothing to do with BJP and there was a system and it ended" could be considered a big jolt for Ram Madhav. But more than that, his statement established that Lone is no different from Abdullahs and Muftis, who on occasions used or exploited national parties to promote their selfish interests and advance their separatist agendas and after exploiting them and achieving their goals, dumped them. Sajad Lone used and exploited the BJP to the hilt and attained status and he dumped it after he accomplished his goal of becoming a full-fledged minister.
