Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Jan 7: Launching a scathing attack on former coalition partner BJP, PDP MLC and party spokesperson Firdous Ahmed Tak today once again opposed installation of bunkers in Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas in the aftermath of killings of Parihar brothers in November last year and offered to surrender his security, the challange thrown at him by the BJP and former MLA Kishtwar Sunil Kumar Sharma.
Speaking at a function organised by the party in memory of late Mufti Mohammad Syed at TRC Kishtwar, Tak said that it was due to efforts of late Mufti Mohammad Syed that the people of Jammu and Kashmir including that of Kishtwar District get rid of security bunkers and SOG added that the people of the state were feeling stressed due to harrasment from security forces and army Bunkers where people without considering his/her religious affiliation were praded outside security forces camps. He said that the era of fear psychosis has once again started to gain its feet in the state where people were stopped outside security camps, praded and scanned.
He said that people are being stopped outside Banderkoot army camp as well as on Sinthan road till it was closed, where people were being praded and put to unnecessary harrasment and mental tramua. He said that SOG is occupying the schools including that of a school in Dachhan where childrens from all religions were studying. He said that he never allowed the police to install bunker outside his home since it will create hurdle in free movement of his neighbours and the people living the locality. He said that he will write a letter to DGP J&K for withdrawal of his security cover added that if the former BJP leader Sunil Sharma is real Bhraman, he (Sunil Sharma) will fulfill his promise that he (Sunil) will accompany him in opposing the Bunkers in Kishtwar town.
Earlier several PDP leaders paid rich tribute to deceased Mufti Mohammad Syed and remembered his contribution in the field of development as a Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
Among the prominent who speaks on this occasion include Sheikh Nasir Hussain, Abdul Kabir Butt, Wasil Doolwal, Niseer Bagwan and others.
