| Students take out awareness rally on various social issues | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Jan 7: On the sixth day of the seven days special winter camp day started with the morning assembly at adopted village Phalote, Barnoti in the premises of Govt. Middle school Phalote.
After the morning assembly volunteers organized a massive rally across the village in which they chanted the slogans on various themes like Beti Bachao beti padao, right use of vote, on drugs issues, open defecation, communal harmony etc. After rally resource persons from Patanjali Yogpeeth ,Agriculture deptt and Fire and Emergency Services wing Kathua delivered lecture on their concerned field. The district president from Mahila Patanjali Yog peeth Kathua Sunita verma and Rameshwar Sharma laid stress on the importance of yog in the day to day life and also practice some Aasan to the volunteers and villagers. The resource person from agriculture dept. delivered very informative and interesting lecture in which he dealt in detail with various govt schemes and techniques for right farming. The other resource person from Fire and emergency wing Kathua Mohan Lal along with his team delivered lecture and gave demonstrations how to control the fire in emergency situations. In the evening session volunteers distributed woolen clothes and other articles. The day concluded with nukkad natak, cultural activities and national anthem. |
