Javid Iqbal Reshi, the chairman of the movement was leading the convention where locals accused union and well as state governments for their failure on all fronts.
Locals including Ch. Mohammad Taj, Ch. Mohd Hanief Kohli, Ch Mohd Akbar, Ch. Sharief Kohli and others allegedly said, 2014 flood hit the said area which is still waiting to restore. They said, " all lost embankments, roads and other properties are still in the position where these were in 2014 as government has claimed to invest billions of rupees in the name of flood". Flood victims said, they were assured of plots in safer places, but no one has been provided the same and all are living in front of river. A locals speaking during the meeting said, he has paid rupees 2000 corruption for 2200 rupees relief which is ungraceful joke with the victims.
They said government, local communal political leadership and said, all are befooling them for vote bank and ignore them in all fronts. They appealed to Javid Reshi to raise this issue to the higher authorities for the redressal at earliest. Javid Reshi along with other activists working general secretary Tanveer Ahmed, Advocate Ahabab Shah, Maroof Chouhan and others assured that, they will raise this issue to the concern state authorities for early redressal.
