May Fair Schools celebrate Annual Day

JAMMU, Jan 9: May Fair Schools Chand Nagar, Chinore and Janipur celebrated Annual Day Function on completion of 40 glorious years with pomp and show at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu here today.
Dr Nirmal Singh, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly was the chief guest on the occasion, while Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation presided over the function.
Dr Nirmal Gupta, Former Chairperson, J&K State Social Welfare Board and ID Soni, State Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Jammu were the guests of honour.
Ashok Sharma, Chairperson ICELA, Jammu, Gourav Gupta, Secretary Chamber of Commerce & Industries, J&K, Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Director Citizen Cooperative Bank Pvt Ltd, Ravi Tickoo, VK Sharma, Chief Advisor J&K State Speed Ball Association, BN Sharma, Observer Science Olympiad Foundation, New Delhi, Raj Bharti Chairperson, Viraj Kala Kendra, Jammu, Ram Khajuria President, Tawi Trekkers, J&K were among the special guests.
The function started with the paying homage to Founder Late RL Basur and lighting of ceremonial lamp by chief guest along with the other dignitaries.
6th Edition of School Magazine "Lakshya 2019?was also released on the occasion.
Chairman, May Fair Schools Vijay Kumar Basur presented welcome address while Director May Fair Schools, Abhey Basur highlighted the achievements of the school in Annual Report with the vision and mission of the school.
The function started with 'Vandana' based on Trishakti presented by the students of Chand Nagar Branch. A glittering bonanza of dances and medley of songs captivated the audience. Over 300 students from all three branches got prizes in different categories.
Outstanding Students at State & National Level in academics as well as co-curricular activities were honoured by the chief guest and other dignitaries on the occasion.
