JAMMU, Jan 14: With the arrested of alleged snatcher and recovery of snatched golden bangle from his possession, Pacca Danga police to claimed to have cracked a snatching case within 24 hours of commission of crime.
Police spokesman said that Yesterday, one person namely Mohd Aslam Wani reported at police post Prade, Jammu that one person has snatched Gold Bangle (Karra) worth Rs 2 lacs from his aunty (Masi) in Purani Mandi area.
"After getting the information, a case under FIR No 12/2019 under section 382 of RPC was registered and a police party led by SI Vijay Sharma-incharge police post Parade, Jammu under the supervision of Inspector Varinder Gupta-SHO Pacca Danga, Jammu, was constituted and search for accused person was launched", said spokesman.
Spokesman further said that today, after thorough investigation and inputs given by sources/shopkeepers, a person namely Mohd Saleem Sheikhof Sheikh Colony Upper Ganj Nowhatt Srinagar presently staying at Panj Peer gole Colony Talab Tillo, Jammu was detained and on persistent interrogations, he confessed to the alleged crime and on his disclosure, the gold Bangle (Karra) was recovered. The investigation of the arrested accused is going on and more recoveries are likely to be effected.
