Ex MLA criticizes JKNPP leader's statement on degree college

Jammu, Jan 19: Former legislator of Udhampur Pawan Gupta has lashed out at Panthers Party leader and former legislator Balwant Mankotia for his statement that on Degree college.
Addressing media persons, Pawan Gupta distributed the photo copies of recommendation letter which was addressed to Navin K. Choudhary, Principal Secretary to Government, Finance Department, J&K Government under reference number PKG/MLA/U/164 dated 20thOctober, 2018 and the same letter was marked by the Choudhary to the concerning authorities with remarks kindly get feasibility examined for the next meeting dated 05-11-2018.
In this letter Gupta has highlighted that being flooded with tremendous heavy influx of entrants every year and due to limited intake capacity the existing both PG Degree College and Women Degree College at Udhampur presently having strength of more than 3000 student each are proving insufficient to cater need of densely populated Udhampur city and its adjoin areas as a result of which majority of poor student drawn from these areas are forced every year either to take admission in colleges out of Udhampur town or to abandon their studies in midway and Gupta recommend strongly for sanction of one more Degree College for Udhampur which is proposed to be established at Neeli Nallah (Udhampur) at midway on Jib-Thathi road axis situated 16Km away from Udhampur District HQ in densely populated area, where more than 50 Kanals suitable State land has been identified and is available for the purpose which is free from all encumbrances, he said.
Gupta said that Balwant Singh Mankotia is under the influence of cheap politics and political frustration. Gupta further stated that Mankotia is trying to mislead the public but people aware of facts. He disclosed that State government has sanctioned 40 Degree Colleges in State and his recommendation was also accepted. He again disclosed that if a Degree College is established at Neeli Nallah and the same will be advantages for the students drawn from more than 30 Panchyats of Reasi as well as Udhampur constituency falling in Udhampur district viz Patta Kotli, Barolla, Neeli Nallah, Upper Hartaryan, Sunari, Jib-A, Jib-B, Kambal Danga, Chak, Padanoo-Kalta, Seen Thakran, Samole, Lehnu, Tikri, Mand East, Mand West, Malhar-A, Malhar-B, Upper Rehmbal, Lower Rehmbal-I, Lower Rehmbal-II, Khartiar, Garnai, Seen Brahmana, Dhanu, Chiryai, Muttal, Jangal Gali, Jassar Kote etc.
