'Yuva Kranti Yatra' holds convention

JAMMU, Jan 19: The Congress on Saturday targeted the BJP-led Centre over growing employment in India, asking BJP to clear its stand over the 2.5 crore jobs promises made with the people of the country during the last parliamentary polls.
Addressing the convention as a part of Yuva Kranti Yatra, Keshav Chand Yadav, IYC National President said that BJP-led NDA Government failed to fulfil its promise of providing two crore jobs every year to the youth of our country.
During the 2014 elections, PM Modi had promised of 'Acche Din' (good days), which included (providing) two crore jobs every year. In five years, this sums up to 10 crore (jobs).
On Saturday morning, the Yatra reached Srinagar where in the youth convention was organised and the issues related to the youth were discussed threadbare.
Accusing BJP of bartering away the pride and honour of people of Jammu region to satisfy its lust for power, Mula Ram, Former Minister and Senior Congress leader appealed to Jammuites to expose and depose the BJP's juggernaut for its sheer opportunism.
Raman Bhalla, Former Minister and Senior Congress leader, said that the wrong policies of BJP has plunged the State into unprecedented crisis. "BJP took U-turns on the core issues without caring for the aspirations of the people of Jammu, who voted them immensely to power," he added.
Among others who were present in the convention include PYC Vice Presidents Pankaj Basotra , Sahil Sharma and Ajaz Chaudhary , PYC Gen sectaries Chetan Wanchoo, Mudasser Ahmed, Ranjeet Chopra, Nimrandeep Singh, Amir Banday, Firdous Mingno.
