| Little Flower High School Celebrates Annual Day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 28: Little Flower High School celebrated Annual day today in Jammu. , Former Minister Congress, Sham Lal Sharma was the chief guest of the occasion. The programme started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the chief guest Sham Lal Sharma accompanied by the Principal Sham Singh Langeh.
Asking the educationists to think of bringing a suitable change in the present-day education system to ensure holistic child development, Sharma said it seems that young buds, which are overburdened by curricular activities, are gradually losing their childhood.
Stating that over-all development of child is the need of the hour, Sharma said that we have to create conducive atmosphere, which ensures academic as well as extra-curricular excellence among the students. "We have to strike a balance in a way that curricular and extra-curricular activities go hand-in-hand and young children enjoy their childhood while studying", he added.
He also called for promoting moral education in all Government and Private Educational Institutions to protect age old moral ethics and rich cultural heritage of the Country.
Sharma urged that Teachers must try to stimulate students to create a hunger for learning and to expand their success in life. Teachers should be obligated to the need for the student's individuality. He asked the teaching fraternity to help students imbibe values through education. He added that teachers are architects who shape personality of students and mould them to be good human beings.
The Chief Guest further emphasized that the best part of the function was the maximum participation of the students. He further wished that the entire team of Little flower High School will rise up to the occasion and play an important role in enhancing and sustaining the quality of education as their endeavor can bring fresh innovation in the system.
Sharma revealed that the true purpose of education is to make minds and not careers. The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Later, Sham Sharma along with a Principal distributed prizes among the students excelling in academic as well as extracurricular activities. |
