Poonch, Jan 28: Inhabitants of Sarhra block of Mandi Tehsil today held a meeting at Sathra urging government to come up with the building of Government of Degree College Mandi in such a place, where students from across Mandi can reach without problem.
On the occasion chairman JK Insaaf Movement and renowned social activist Javid Reshi, block president Buopar Mandel Sathra Hafeez Ullah Khan, Sarpanch Fazal Qureshi, Ex Sarpanch Khurshied Hussain, Khadam Hussain Shah, Abdul Ghani urged district administration to check the geographical conditions of entire Tehsil before commencing the construction work of the said college.
Javid Reshi on the occasion formed a committee by the name "Degree College Mandi Action Committee" and appealed to all public of Loran, Sathra, Mandi blocks and Sawjian, Arai, Hari Budha, Gali Pindi and Chakteoo to join the committee to fight for their rights.
Members of committee in a single voice urged upon state governor administration to check the advisable location which is from Rajpoura to Seikloo area which is reachable for all students. All members flayed the negligent politicians who are deliberately pushing the students' future in darkness. If government starts its work at unaccommodated location, locals of entire Tehsil Mandi will hit the roads for their rights, they warned. |
