Jammu, Feb 6: Taking strong note of lackadaisical approach of concern BDOs to implement the government orders with regards to disengagement of excessive staff supporting staff engaged in violation of rules under MGNREGA, DC Kishtwar has constituted the inquiry committee to inquire all those appointments which are made in contravention of the existing rules /Guidelines. It has been learnt that BDOs in violation of the Government orders and circular are utilizing the services of some supporting staff members of their choice whose engagements were made in violation of rules and regulations and this is the pendency in providing the information.
Further, all BDOs were directed to ensure that excess staff engaged in violation of sanctions/approval/guidelines and without following due procedure should be disengaged immediately.
ACD Kishtwar further asked the BDOs to provide information sought with regard to honorarium paid if any within two days.
Meanwhile several BDOs despite court orders not to disengage the services of some GRS fail to release their salaries since last several months as a result of which they are facing lot of problems.
Speaking to "Early Times", some GRS and Supporting Staff in MGNREGA informed that they were being harassed by the officials of the department while 100s of employees in the form of Technical Assistants, Computer Operators and against other posts were engaged in violation of the rules and regulations. They added that even incumbent DC Kishtwar who also remained ACD Kishtwar bent the rules and regulations by modifying various clauses of the advertisement to felicitate the appointment of some blued eyed persons which was later quashed by the court by terming the action of ACD as unlawful .
They called for taking up of overall view of the scheme and immediate implementation of court orders by releasing their long pending salaries
