RDD officer making fortunes by blackmailing field staff

Jammu, Feb 6: A senior officer in Rural Development department has made fortunes by blackmailing field staff. Moreover the officer has partnership with a manufacturer, who is also supplier engaged by RDD in Jammu division.
According to credible sources, the officer who has a bad track record, when he was a Block Development Officer (BDO), has reportedly covered-up all the recent scandal in RDD exposed by various sections of media. The officer is misleading, Secretary RD&PR, who was determined to twist the arms of corrupt officers in his department to give safe passage in exchange of huge money", informed some suppliers.
They said that this officer has played major role to shield illegal elevation of section officers as BDOs. "Secretary RD&PR, acting swiftly, into the scandal exposed by a deprived official of department, directed the Director General, RDD Jammu to rescind illegal promotion, order but in the meantime, this officer gave enough time to the promotees to explore legal remedy", they added.
They further alleged that the officer has established his nexus in secretariat, as recently one of his batch mates who joined as Additional Secretary, is facilitating deal he strikes with trapped/ exposed officers of department, like recent cases. "The officer has installed his close aide at various places, including imports sections in administrative department, including ACD offices in every district of Jammu division," they said.
"Former ACD Poonch and his relative who is senior officer in allied department acted as middlemen to finalize the re-instatement all the suspended BDOs", they claimed and added that presently one of his touts in ACD Office, Jammu is a clerk running the show. "While bother-in-law of the officer, a Junior Engineer, also uses his powerful Jijaji to trap other officials, then he fixes deal for their safe passes", they added.
They further said that the officer has partnership with a manufacturer, who has been engaged with RD&PR supplying material for a long time. "Since the day, the officer joined the department, un-necessary orders are being placed in favour of particular supplier, from specific ACDs especially tainted ACD Poonch and surprisingly clear all the dues of said supplier", they said and added that officer has bought a luxurious car (Audi) in the name of said supplier, he uses the supplier as his driver all the time. Sources further informed that the officer in his earlier days, when was BDO and embezzled huge money under Individual household latrine (IHHL).
