| ROF appeals Govt for resumption of mediclaim policy | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 19: ROF appealed State Government for resumption of mediclaim policy. On the complaint of majority of retirees, an emergency meeting of the executive body was convened under the Chairmanship of ID Soni, President of the forum to deliberate on the complaints. S. C. Rekhi, General Secretary of the forum briefed the Executive Committee about the nature of complaints received from many of the retirees. Majority of the members are complaining that more than eight months have elapsed when they submitted their revised proformea duly recognized by the A.G. and endorsed by the respective heads of the departments but have not received revised P.P.O's when their other colleagues who submitted their proformea in A.G. Office much later than their submissions have since received their revised P.P.O's. During the course of meeting, it was resolved to approach the State Govt. with the request that the Govt. should authorize respective treasuries for sorting out and issuing revised P.P.O's as whole of the record is available in the respective treasuries so that the revised P.P.O's are made available to the concerned within a reasonable time. The complainants were attributing some negative remarks against A.G's Office in respect of issuance of revised P.P.O's. It may be pointed out here that there are certain widows/supersenior citizens who are residing in the most remote/backward areas and cannot approach their Heads of Deptts. who have been neglected.
The forum appeals the Govt. to authorize respective treasuries to settle the cases of such retirees who could not submit their papers till date to A.G Office. Moreover, the A.G. Office needs to be countered for negative approach for settling the cases of retirees. |
