MENDHAR, Mar 31: The residents of Mohra Kallar in Mendhar sub division of Poonch district accused the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department of supplying contaminated water.
The residents claimed that despite claiming of supplying clean water, the people in the area are forced to drink contaminated water. "The condition of water pipes is as such that they are not fit for water supply, as they are totally unsafe, rusted and leaking," said locals, adding that the damaged pipe was used to supply water. The employees of PHE department inserted polythene and small gunny bag strings to stop the leakage. When asked it is unhygienic and will not last long, the answer was that there's no other alternative. |
