Poonch, Mar 31: Dozen of villages along LoC and forward areas of Mendhar sub division have been facing acute water crisis while PHE department seems unmoved.
Reports said the people have to walk a long distance to fetch drinking water in dozen of villages in sub divison Mendhar including Balakote, Mankote and Mendhar along LoC and forward areas facing worst ever water crisis.
The locals alleged that PHE department is in deep slumber and unmoved.
"The department has never sent any tanker to the affected areas. And no measures have been taken to address the problem," they said.
Meanwhile, Balakote Youth Front chairman Zaheer Khan has urged Chief Engineer PHE department Jammu to direct the XEn Poonch to replace leakage pipes and ensure proper water supply to affected villagers. |
