Career Counseling Programme organized at Reasi Campus, JU

reasi, Apr 9: A Career Counseling Programme was organized at Reasi Campus, University of Jammu today in collaboration with the Department of Life Long Learning, University of Jammu. The objective of the programme was to apprise the students about various career and employment opportunities after the completion of the P.G programme.
Prof. Pawanesh Abrol, Director, Reasi Campus while welcoming the experts highlighted the commitment of the University for raising the educational standards and supporting the students of the far-flung areas for their career growth. Prof. Pawanesh apprised the audience that a series of different academic and co-curricular events are being organized regularly in the Campus to give exposure to the students to interact with the leading experts of the different areas.
Dr. Shallu Sehgal, Department of Economics, University of Jammu discussed about the opportunities of the self -employment and entrepreneurship. Dr. Shallu, apprised about various government initiatives and schemes initiated for the fresh graduates.
Dr. Shveta Sharma, Department of Sociology, University of Jammu spoke in detail about various career options in different fields like human resource, law, public relation, social welfare, health, management etc. She further elaborated on different ways by which the students during the P.G. can orient themselves for such career opportunities.
Dr. Rewa Khajuria Counselor, Department of Life Long Learning University of Jammu co-ordinated the programme. Dr. Nisha Sharma, Reasi Campus conducted the proceedings of the programme and presented the formal vote of thanks. Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Sharma, Manoj Kumar, and Narayan Singh besides the students of all the semesters attended the programme.
