SAMBA, Apr 9: District Election Authority (DEA) Samba today finalised the preparation for Parliamentary Elections in the district here at a meeting chaired by District Election Officer, Sushma Chauhan in presence of General Observer, Amit Rathore.
Forming the part of Jammu Parliamentary constituency, the polling in the district will be held on April 11.
Senior Superintendent Police, Dr. Koushal Kumar Sharma briefed the meeting regarding sensitive Polling Stations and deployment of Security Forces at Polling Stations. He said adequate security has been deployed across the district to conduct the Parliamentary Elections in peaceful manner.
District Election Officer informed that Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates, along with their teams, have been deployed in the district.
She said Zonal Magistrates and Sectoral Magistrates will work in synergy with their Police department and shall thwart any untoward incident in the election process.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba, Vikas Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Samba, Kulbushan Khajuria, Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur, Vijay Kumar Sharma, Additional Superintendent Police, Faisal Qureshi, Zonal Magistrates, Sectoral Magistrates besides officers from Police Department. |
