Reserved categories leaders decide to vote against BJP
4/9/2019 11:22:30 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 9: The leaders of reserved categories including the heads of socio-religious organisation, social activists, educated and unemployed youth have decided to vote against BJP in the ensuring Lok Sabha Elections.
Alleging complete failure of Central government headed by Narendra Mondi and the State government where BJP was only main coalition partner, in protecting the rights and constitutional guarantees accorded the communities of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other backward classes, the leaders of reserved categories said here. Further they have appealed to their communities to exercise their franchise to dislodge BJP as reserved categories have been worst sufferers in last five years.
M.L.Banalia, General Secretary Guru Ravi Dass Sabha said that last five years have proved to be worst ever time for the communities of reserved categories as the constitutional rights of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other backward classes have blatantly breached. All over India the multi folds increase in the atrocities on these sections have been observed, may these be in the form of series of mob lynching under the garb of Gau raksha (Cow protection), beating of dalit grooms, incidents of rape on Tribal to terrorise them, incidents of violence on dalit women, doing away with the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (prevention of atrocities) Act and so & so forth.
In the press conference, over the deep silence of government on issue of reservation in promotions, the leaders of socio-religious, retired employees' forum, unemployed youth/students and women wings of Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA), narrated the sorry state of their struggle which they have launched in October 2015 for restoration of reservation in promotion.
But unfortunately, the state government deliberately caused huge irreparable loss to employees of reserved categories by not implementing the stay order of Apex Court. The members of JKRCEA said that the BJP has no legitimate ground to get the votes of these communities. They also resolved to vote against BJP and support the secular forces which are in larger interest of the nation.
Among others M.R.Bangotra, G.L. Lakhnotra, Dr. Haridayal, Dr. C.R.Munday, Prof. G.L.Thapa, T.C.Bavoria, G.L.Rahi, Sardari Lal (Samba), Romesh Kumar (Udhampur) Nighat Shafeeq and Manoj Kumar were present.
