As Jammu frontiers vote for peace, Pakistan resumes aggression
4/13/2019 12:00:17 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 12: A day after the people from frontier districts of Rajauri, Poonch and Samba in Jammu voted mainly for peace and security, Pakistani forces resumed with their coward aggression on the Indian soil in the region.
Atleast three persons including two girls and a youth were injured after Pakistani forces shelled civilian areas in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning.
The locals said they were getting ready for the day and the children were going to schools when the shelling took place. For the past few months, Pakistani aggression takes place generally in the early hours seemingly so that for people the "whole day goes waste in fear and uncertainty."
Reports said two girls, identified as Shabina Akhtar, daughter of Mumtaz Ahmad and Tasveer Begum, daughter of Abdul Rasheed, were injured in cross-LoC firing in Chapprian village in Saujiyan area of the district.
As per the Army officials the Pakistan army initiated "unprovoked" ceasefire violation along the LoC in Saujiyan sector at 8:30 am, forcing the Indian forces to retaliate.
It is pertinent to mention that this year Pakistan has been constantly targeting the Indian territory in Jammu region in a bid to affect the normal life and economic activities in the region.
For the past around three months, most of the agricultural land in frontier areas of Jammu is lying without plantation as the farmers say they are unable to properly work given the Pakistan aggression.
The Pakistan is not refraining from attacks on the Indian soil even after the Indian Air Force strike on terror camps in Balakote.
Since then atleast three persons were killed and around a dozen wounded in various attacks on the Indian soil.
Ironically though the political parties keep focusing on Kashmir valley, the Jammu region continues to remain bleed unheard.
Observers have been saying that Pakistan needs to be given a befitting reply for its deliberate aggression in the Jammu region. But the political parties are silent on Pakistani bloodshed in Jammu.
