Jammu, Apr 28: Despite power generating state and allocation of huge funds on the maintenance of state power structure, ground situations are still quite adverse rather worst, expressed by Deep Singh, the founder member & national council member of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in a press note issued today at Jammu for the media houses.
Thousands of crore rupees were illegally grabbed by the Jammu based NC, Congress and BJP power ministers during last two decades but still as on date, electricity services often use to cut for hours together even after a slight wind causing hampering of water supplies too, Singh alleged.
Even after the repeated claims, state PDD department has no transparent policy as on date, press note alleged. Its required metering process had crossed number of deadlines but still huge work is pending, it further alleged. Despite huge power generating potential, state PDD has no proper set-up in the name of credible distribution or maintenance causing day to day trouble for the public in general either it is cost wise or the effective supply wise, it added. After purchasing electricity from private companies, Kejriwal government is providing cheapest electricity to its Delhi consumers whereas Jammu-Kashmir as power generating state failed in providing the same on genuine rates as on date, it further added.
BJP the so-called God father of Jammu is totally mum on the worst power scenario of the state and Jammu in particular, Deep Singh again alleged. Similarly other so-called well wishers of Jammu like Jammu Chamber of Commerce, Jammu Bar Association and other routine agitators are also in mute mode, he added. |
