Vote to defeat politics of lies, deceit: Mir tells people

SRINAGAR, Apr 28: Congress today sought peoples support to defeat the politics based on lies and deceit in the State aiming to mislead people on various counts for the sake of electoral gains, emphasizing the people to ensure victory of Congress Candidate from Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency Gulam Ahmad Mir, with a thumping majority.
Congress also assured the people that it will do everything to ensure safety security of the people, besides overall development of State particularly the south Kashmir, which has witnessed ugliest period of three and half year's misrule and mis-governance on the part of PDP.
Commenting on the second phase of elections in which District Kulgam is going to vote on April 29, the Party Spokesperson while seeking vote and support in favour of candidature of JKPCC President Gulam Ahmad Mir emphasized the people of Kulgam not to miss this opportunity, as that, the present elections would have an impact on the overall socio political scenario obtaining in the Country, for the fact, the communal forces under ruling dispensation at centre have vitiated the atmosphere for the sake of remaining in power, the victory of Secular Forces guarantees unity, harmony and brotherhood in the State, besides the safety and security of minorities.
He said the BJP as per its election manifesto has pledged to abrogate Art 370, 35A inorder to mislead the people in the country for electoral gains, which is very serious and condemnable, it would the responsibility of people to defeat their designs by ballot and ensure victory of Congress Party, which stands guarantee to Special Status granted to J&K under the Constitution of India. He said BJP has lost the ground miserably, is going to face defeat in the present elections, as a result, the saffron Party under the garb of abrogating Special Status of the State trying to generate support, which will be defeated tooth and nail by Congress party and people of the Country in unison, asserting that Congress Party is capable enough & committed to protect Art 370,35A, Spokesperson added and appealed the people of Kulgam to vote for Congress Party to ensure that the ill intentions of BJP RSS, besides the opportunist and misleading politics by PDP-NC and others were defeated in the larger interests of JK.
