Katra, April 29:
The Sports Meet of Gurukul Charan Paduka, Katra begin at Shrine Board’s Sports Complex, Katra. On this occasion three matches were played in Volleyball section.
The first match was played between Niharika and Trikuta teams. The former defeated their opponents in straight 2 sets with final score 2-0.
In the second match played in the morning session the Saraswati team defeated Vaishnavi team by 2-0.
In the third match Niharika outplayed Kalika by 2-0 sets.
Tomorrow, besides final match in Volleyball, the competitions in Table Tennis and Basketball would be organised at the same venue. Dr. Arvind Karwani, Dy. CEO, SMVDSB, Administrator Gurukul declared the tournament open and blessed the best of their games and future.
Director Sports, SMVDSB told the audience that after first phase of the meet of Gurukul, the tournament in the second phase will commence in the month of September in the event of Yog, Kabaddi, & Athletics.
Earlier all participants participated in the oath ceremony.
Present on the occasion were Principal Gurukul, Rajesh Sharma, Asstt. Manager, Rajinder Magotra, Shri Pritam Dass, staff of the Shrine Board, Gurukul and Sports Complex.
