| SPO's connection with bovine smugglers revealed, two disengaged | | |

DODA, June 10: Based on specific information about the involvement of SPOs deployed with SPP Basti, in corrupt practices in the area of Basti Thanalla Bhaderwah by way of facilitating the movement of Bovine smugglers, a secret enquiry was ordered against them and the same was entrusted to SDPO Bhaderwah.
Following the probe involvement of two SPO's included Manoj Kumar No. 710/SPO & SPO Mohd Azad No. 1869/SPO was confirmed. The enquiry officer after conducting the enquiry has submitted his report mentioning therein that during the course of enquiry, a deep nexus of the above mentioned SPOs have been established with the bovine smugglers and their associates in Bhaderwah area.
It was also established by the Enquiry officer that these SPOs were taking hefty amount of money to facilitate the safe passage of these Bovine smugglers in the area.
The E.O has recommended stern departmental action against these officials. Being the members of a disciplined force the act on the part of these officials (SPOs) amounts to breach of trust, severe criminal misconduct and highly objectionable which cannot be tolerated at any cost.
Following this the two SPOs were disengaged from the rolls of SPOs with immediate effect. They have been asked to deposit all the government articles in the concerned stores at DPL Doda. |
