FIR against 6 persons for failure to deposit weapons

doda, June 10: In view of the prevailing law and order situation in district Doda and to ensure peaceful, free and fair environment for the Lok Sabha elections 2019, all the arms licence holders in the district had been ordered vide order no.3529-45/DM/Doda dated 09.03.19 to deposit their weapons in the nearby police posts/police station till the completion of elections", DM Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode said.
After being informed that some persons had violated the orderas, the DM has taken action under clause(a) of Sub Section (1) of Section 195 of CrPC against six persons.
As a result SSP Doda, has lodged FIRs against the accused six person's from Doda and Bhaderwah tehsil. The accused have been identified as Mohd Iqbal s/o Mangta Wani village Aul, Abdul Latief s/o Mohd Maqbool Magrey of village Aul,Gian Singh s/o Chanda Singh,village beoli,kashmir Singh s/o Dewan Chand,village Shaja, Dev Raj s/o Kanhya Lal,village Bhatry Trown,Gulsher Ahmed s/o Shabir Batt, R/o Soura, Bhalla, who have refused to deposit their licensed weapons, in police station Doda and Bhaderwah for violating the prohibitory orders of DM Doda.
Further during the enquiry it was also established that violation was done by the aforementioned six accused against whom the complaint was submitted for judicial determination and further directions were also passed on to the police authorities to take strict necessary actions against the other defaulters under rule who have also violated the prohibitory orders issued by DM Doda.
