Jammu, June 10: Continuing his drive to provide better civic amenities to the people of Jammu city, Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC today toured in the areas of Rajpura Shiv nagar, Shakti Nagar of Ward No.33 and met with residents of the locality & took stock of the problems being faced by them which includes, renovations of drains/nallahs & their proper disilting well before rainy season, lifting of garbage on routine basis, installation of street lights , lifting of stray dogs & animals etc. Arun Gupta XEN, JMC, Mohd Saleem Khan, Health Officer, JMC & other field staff of different sections were present during the tour. Mayor also inaugurated a view point having sitting capacity on the canal head just opp A.G office , Shakti Nagar Jammu for the general public which was long pending demands of the residents .
He also directed the engineering wing of JMC to develop another view point in front of cremation ground Shakti Nagar with chairs and black topping of the damaged roads in order to provide relief for the people of the surrounding areas & appeal to the general public not to throw garbage , filth etc in the public drains/nallahs & lanes & cooperate with the JMC to in making Jammu city neat, clean & green. |
