Poonch, June 28: Early Times newspaper carried out a story on AEE Surankote and AEE Mendhar who failed to implement the order of SE PWD on implementation of RTI act within their department but both the officers failed to implement SE's direction.
Sources said that SE, XEn, AEEs and JEs share the booty and this is the reason that SE PWD too has joined the bandwagon of violating the RTI Act. RTI applicant approached SE many times with a request to give final judgment, but reportedly, SE is shielding his tainted AEEs from Mendhar and Surankote who are openly calling shots in the department. One of the AEEs has amassed huge wealth form the department by foul means and is running a petrol pump on the name of his relative. It clearly shows that SE has legalized corruption in the department and this is the main reason that JE's and AEEs are giving thumb to his orders.
There are huge reports of misuse of funds in Surankote and Mendhar tehsils on the name of BADP scheme, CRF roads and Sanai rood. When contacted, Few PWD officials said, "SE PWD hamare jeb mein hai".
Locals said that if this is the condition of SE PWD who has failed to control corruption in the department then what is expected from lower rung staff who are calling shots openly and are violating RTI act at will. When Early Times tried to approach SE PWD, he said, "Mein dekhta hun" |
