Udhampur, July 3: The sanitation of the city can be better judged from the miserable plught of Mayor's ward.
It is unbelievable that Ward Number-33 of Jammu Municipal Corporation is badly affected by garbage dumps and other related problems including those of stray animals.
A big heap of garbage lies near busy Accountant General Office road in the Ward of none else than the JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta.
Foul smell emanates from the garbage heap to make life of people difficult, locals said.
With the moonsoon round the corner, the garbage heap may trigger an epidemic.
"If this is the situation in the Ward of the Mayor then the sanitation situation of rest of the Municipal area of the city can be better estimated," Kaoshal Mahajan, a shopkeeper on in the nearby market commented.
The locals have appealed to the Municipal Mayor and Commissioner to look into the matter and ensure proper cleanliness in the Ward. |
