BJP's SBM exposes resident of Mahasha Colony Bahu Fort fetch drinking form filthy drain

Jammu, July 3: Amid rigorous Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the residents of Mahasha Colony in ward 47 Bahu Fort represented by BJP's Councillor, Sharda Kumar are forced to fetch drinking from choked and filthy drain in their area. Atleast 15 household in colony don't have water connections.
During Early Times team's in the Colony (a slum) on Wednesday evening the residents gathered hoping officials' visit in their area with several expectations. "We though you are Sarkari Babu, came here to listen are problems as first time somebody came here to know our miseries", they said.
Tilak Raj, Naresh Kumar, Baldev Raj, Sheru, Kailash, Nisha, Des Raj, Juli Devi, Sanday Devi, Bansi Lal, Savita Devi, Swarna Devi, Shoba Devi, Vaishali, Geeta Devi and Sham Lal informed that they suffer in the seasons due administration's apathy.
Around a dozen people showing the team a water pipe submerged with filthy water of choked drain, said that they all collect water from here for all purposes. "We don't have water connections, so we have to fetch water from here, we all get-up by 3a.m. in the morning, if we missed, we to have wait for next morning", they said and added that nor BJP and Congress' leader bother to pay any attention towards our suffering. "We are fed up with fake promises made with us, we want change and we will for change", they added.
They said that their locality connect with road through Sahabad Colony, but as area begins you will find dilapidated roads, dug up streets, choked drains and uncovered Nullah go-through the Mohalla towards Shiek Nagar, Bahu Fort.
"Nor Raman Bhalla Ex-MLA neither Kavinder Gupta Ex-MLA visited this area to fulfil their promises though we have given opportunity both of them, we have more than hundred families in the suffering since the day we were rehabilitated here by the administration", they regretted.
They said that during monsoon water enters into our house due to lack proper drainage in locality. "During rain most of the families remain alert all the time to prevent our household item from water that frequently enters into our houses", they added.
They said it was very unfortunate in 21st century the residents of city temples, don't have water connections and are forced to fetch from filthy drain.
