Early Times Report JAMMU, July 3: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Wednesday said that Jammu lagging behind on the development front is a blot on the leaders who represented this region for the past seven decades. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas, Munish said, "It is unfortunate that Jammu has missed the bus and lags far behind as far as the development is concerned." "Many areas in Jammu region have no basic amenities. There are no drains, no proper power infrastructure and other facilities which a common man needs to survive," said Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. He said, "Elections are knocking at our doors and the politicians have once again reappeared on the scene. They are again promising us moons and stars. They are out to befool us again." Munish said, "It's for us to decide whether we want to vote for the same people or we want to vote for a change. We need to think twice before taking any decision. Our vote is the most potent weapon and we should cast it in a favour of a candidate who can live upto our expectations and do something for us. We can't afford to get misled once again." |
