Rotary club Jammu organises a Free Diabetic Retina Eye checkup

Jammu, July 27: The Rotary Club Jammu under the president ship of Rtn Dr. Anil K Amla in association with Sachdeva Netralaya organised a Free Diabetic Retina Eye checkup camp in the premises of K C Mediplex Jammu today .
This was the second consecutive camp by the Club ,organised under the flag ship programme of the Club , "GIFT OF SIGHT". The project Director said on the occasion that such camps will be a continue process
Rtn Dr Abishek Sachdeva of Sachdeva Netralaya screened more than 100 patients during the Camp and some patients were also referred for specialised treatment in Sachdeva Netralaya. The patients on waiting for other doctors in the Mediplex who were unaware of the eye ailment were also screened and some patients among them were found eye ailment and were referred for further treatment at Sachdeva Netralaya
The Project Director of project GIFT OF SIGHT Rtn Sunil Kumar Sawhney said that the club has pledged to eradicate cornea blindness from Jammu in association with Rotary Club of Hoshiarpur Midtown. He also pledged and foresee Cornea Blind free Jammu in near future. He also appealed to the GMC authorities to intimate the detail of such patients registered with them for cornea transplantation so that there cornea can be transplanted in phased manner free of cost
Besides a good gathering, Rtn Dr Anil Amla, Rtn Prem Shanker, Rtn Gaurav Vaid, Rtn Harbans Singh, Rtn Ravi Kant Sharma, Rtn Dr Navneet Gupta, Rtn Aman Sharma, Rtn Sanjay Sachdeva, Rtn Deepak Baboo, Rotarian Rajat Singh, Rtn Kuldip Singh, Rtn Sat Pal Verma, Rtn Abhishek Sachdeva and other various Rotarians were also present
