Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 27: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Saturday asked people to join the "carvan of change" and make things happen for them.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas for the 64th day today, Munish said, "Nothing will change till we strive for it. If we really want to change our destiny we have to change our mindset first."
"Leaders, who have represented us for the past seven decades have given lollipops to us. The dreams which they sold during all these years proved to be mere illusions," said, Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency.
Munish said that his ongoing mass contact programme has brought to fore the miseries being faced by the people in different areas. "The areas which I have visited during the past two months present a dismal picture. People in every area have number of issues which need to be addressed but these have been left unattended. The so-called representatives of people not showing any interest in the issues confronting the common man has made matters worse," said Munish.
He said, "The forthcoming Assembly elections are an opportunity for people to vote for a change and give new people a chance. If I win the elections I assure my people that I will try my best to change the system. My people can hold me accountable as I am not among the ones who will leave his people in lurch and run away."
