| Anayat, Bhagat open flood-gate in PDP | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 30 :While as senior and seasoned leaders continue to desert the party, Jammu unit of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is now virtually handed over to alleged, rapists and communal elements who were in the forefront to demonize Dogras of Jammu. Not only in Jammu, PDP is also become leaderless in Shia dominated Kargil district after chairman of the J&K Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali along with supporters have joined BJP.
Credible sources said that majority of senior leaders in PDP facing suffocation and humiliation in the party and they are waiting for appropriate opportunity to say 'good-bye' to the party which has virtually turned into a communal outfit.
Two days ago party's general secretary Faqir Chand Bhagat had resigned from the party. Bhagat, a Dalit face of the party, had contested last assembly elections on PDP's mandate from Bishnah constituency.
Credible sources said that Bhagat has opened a flood gate and in the days to come many senior leaders would quit the party because leadership has handover Jammu unit to communal and anti-social elements who- while sitting in party office, always spit venom against people of Jammu, especially Dogras.
Sources said that self-respecting leaders of Jammu are facing worst ever conditions in the PDP due to attitude of communal elements who along with their supporters have controlled Jammu office.
PDP leadership has already sidelined senior leaders during the last two years because management of the party office has been handover to some youth leaders of Kashmir Valley who have patronized some of their touts in Jammu. |
